The Creative Revolution

Inspired by Sir Ken Robinson

For Those Who Champion Creativity.

Welcome home.

Where the people who carry the power of creativity into schools, businesses, families and communities come together.

Inspired by Sir Ken Robinson, PHD

“The more complex the world becomes, the more creative we need to be to meet its challenges.”
-Sir Ken Robinson

Creativity makes us human.

Human creativity is under threat everywhere. In school systems that reward compliance over curiosity. In organisations that prioritise the measurable over the meaningful. In environments that push us to consume rather than create. And increasingly, in our reliance on AI as a creator rather than a creative partner.

The impact is real. We are stripping away the diversity of talents and perspectives our cultures depend on to thrive. People feel stuck, disconnected from their own ideas, and unsure how to turn them into something that matters. We are in the midst of a global mental health crisis.

This is not inevitable.

Sir Ken Robinson wrote, “we don’t live in the world as other creatures do; we create the worlds in which we live.” The systems around us are not fixed. They can be reimagined and rebuilt.

Sir Ken dedicated his life to championing human creativity. So do the Revolutionaries in this community.

Whoever you are and wherever you’re starting from, if you champion creativity, believe in the power of imagination to transform the world, and feel that together we can make a real difference, you belong here.

What you already know

Standing up for what you believe in can be isolating. It doesn’t have to be. Here you will find others who share your core belief that creativity is an essential part of being human.

This community is the antidote to those crowded rooms that felt empty, the meetings that left you feeling hopeless and all the times you walked out wondering if you were the only one in the world who felt this way.

Think of TCR as your own personal corner of the boxing ring. You know, the one where the coach squirts water in your mouth and puts vaseline on your eye before you head back out. Here we support each other, we share insights and research, we work together on shared projects, and, perhaps most importantly, we remind each other that we are not alone.

It’s not just you. From Mexico to London, Costa Rica to India, The Creative Revolution has members from all over the world who believe in the power of creativity.

“When enough people move, that is a movement. And if the movement has enough energy, that is a revolution… That’s exactly what we need..”

- Sir Ken Robinson

"As a community, we share a core belief: that creativity is vital to human flourishing. We go out into the world as individuals to do the hard work. We each make our own personal difference to the lives of others. Then we come back together as a group and share our experiences. Like treasure hunters meeting at a neutral port on rough seas, we swap stories of failure and success. We build each other up. As well as championing creativity, we champion one another."

What changes when you join:

You stop carrying this conviction alone and move further than you ever thought you could.

After you join the Creative Revolution:

  • You walk into your next conversation knowing there are people all over the world who believe your argument just as passionately as you do.
  • What once felt too big now feels possible. It is already in motion beyond your own head.
  • You have a community, a body of evidence and a movement behind what you do.
  • The conversations around you have depth. The things that matter are spoken, explored and acted on.
  • Momentum builds, and your ideas evolve instead of stalling.
  • You build alongside people who share your conviction and your urgency.
  • The work you care about gets done because now it isn’t just yours to do.
  • What you build doesn’t stop with you. It reaches into the classrooms, organisations, and communities you’re a part of. Your work shifts perspectives, opens possibilities, and creates change far beyond where you began.
Every Revolutionary who joins stops carrying this conviction alone.

Together we can create real change. This is what $19.99 a month makes possible.

The Revolution I am advocating is based on a belief in the value of the individual, the right to self-determination, our potential to evolve and live a fulfilled life, and the importance of civic responsibility and respect for others.

From The Community

What Joining The Creative Revolution actually Does.

"I have been a classroom teacher most of my career. We have long needed a creative revolution in education as a force for social equity.

What I love about The Creative Revolution is the opportunity to participate and help further a movement initiated by people like Sir Ken Robinson. In emergent strategies, we believe change is fractal so it is important to have opportunities like this to engage."

Paul

"I love The Creative Revolution because I deeply honour the work of Sir Ken Robinson and believe that the only way to get things done is through joint creative effort.

Here's a hub full of diversity and creative potential to change things for the better."

Janine

"My hope is to help make the world a better place by helping people connect with their true selves. I believe the work we do in The Creative Revolution will be transformative in terms of valuing individual creativity and multiple forms of intelligence and has the potential to significantly alter the course of so many who might ordinarily might have slipped through the cracks. I am truly grateful to be a part of this extraordinary collection of like-minded people"

The people behind it

Built by people who believe in this as much as you do.

Kate Robinson

Co-Founder

Kate Robinson is an author, speaker, producer, imagination and creativity expert, and co-founder of a number of initiatives dedicated to the legacy of her father, Sir Ken Robinson - including The Sir Ken Robinson Foundation and Imagine If. Kate leads The Creative Revolution's content and creative direction, continuing the argument her father made with the depth of someone who understood it both intellectually and personally.

Anthony Dunn

Co-Founder

As the Co-Director of Nevergrey and The Sir Ken Robinson Foundation, Anthony has spent years ensuring that Sir Ken’s vision doesn’t just endure but expands. An award-winning brand strategist and former Head of Brand for Bett, the world’s largest education event series, Anthony leads The Creative Revolution’s growth - bringing the same conviction to finding its people that Sir Ken brought to inspiring them.

Claire Gillespie

Chief of Revolutionary Experience

Claire's job is to make sure that being part of The Creative Revolution feels as good on the inside as it looks from the outside. She is the person thinking about the moments that matter and what it actually takes to become a Revolutionary. With a background in gallery curation, coaching and family creativity, Claire has spent her career creating spaces where people feel safe enough to show up fully and brave enough to try something new. Her current project the Cardboard Shed is a rebel space where children discover their genius through unrestricted play. She brings that same belief to TCR. That when the conditions are right, people surprise themselves.

Chad Brinkley

Chief Community Officer

Chad Brinkley has spent 20+ years working in and around K-12 education - first as an Innovation Specialist, and now as a Revolutionary. Fuelled by Sir Ken's vision and the documentary Most Likely to Succeed, Chad reoriented his life's work around the deeper question of what education could and should be. He brings to The Creative Revolution the perspective of someone who changed from the inside out - and now helps schools and fellow Revolutionaries do the same.

Got a Question?

Everything you need to know.

What is The Creative Revolution?

The Creative Revolution is a global community of people who champion creativity, inspired by the life's work of Sir Ken Robinson.

It is built around a simple conviction: creativity is what makes us human, and the people who believe that and act on it should have each other.

Who is This For?

The Creative Revolution is for all people who champion creativity. Whether you are an entrepreneur, full time parent, educator, artist or CEO. If you believe in the vital importance of creativity, this community is for you.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned advocate of creativity, or brand new to the whole concept, you belong here.

Why is There a Membership Fee?

The Creative Revolution doesn't accept sponsorship, advertising, or venture capital. That's a deliberate choice - so the community retains full control, and everything here stays authentic to Sir Ken's vision rather than shaped by whoever's writing the cheques.

TCR is powered by the very members it supports.

We've agonised over keeping the cost as low as we feasibly can while still delivering something genuinely meaningful - and the free Spark membership means the door is always open, regardless of budget.

For those who join as Revolutionaries: you're not just investing in your own creative life. As our membership grows, we're committed to introducing scholarship positions and discounted memberships for those who need them most. If you're in a position to join, you're directly opening the door for someone who isn't yet.

That feels like the right kind of revolution.

What Does It Mean To Be A Revolutionary?

Being a Revolutionary means you are a part of a movement that is bigger than any of us individually. It means that you not only believe in creativity, but you actively champion its importance.

As a Revolutionary member of the Creative Revolution you have access to a global community of like minded individuals, as well as associated activities from events to articles. Your membership also supports the projects under the Creative Revolution umbrella, including the Human Creativity Project and Creative Families.

What is the Human Creativity Project?

An initiative of the Creative Revolution, the Human Creativity Project is a high profile campaign that seeks to spread the importance of human creativity as separate from AI creativity.

HCP is not anti-AI, it is pro-human creativity. We see the benefit of collaborating with AI in order to enhance our creativity. That said, we champion human creativity as a unique faculty that separates us out from the rest of life on earth.

Through written, digital and video media we conduct and share cutting edge research to celebrate and secure the future of human creativity in the era of AI.

What is Creative Families?

Creative Families is a practical movement that empowers parents to nurture creative development in both their children and themselves. Through a curated collection of philosophies, activities, and insights delivered via substack, as well as a podcast (coming soon) and social channels, Creative Families combines research-backed approaches with anecdotal experiences from creative families within our community.

Our goal is to equip families with the essential tools and knowledge needed to foster creative growth through genuine, authentic connection.

Who was Sir Ken Robinson and what was his connection to the Creative Revolution?

Sir Ken Robinson was an educationalist and revolutionary thinker who dedicated his life to championing creativity as a fundamental human capacity that we are all born with. He shone a light on the way that many of our systems, particular those of education and business, systematically suppress creativity to the detriment of us all. His 2006 TED Talk Do Schools Kill Creativity is the most-watched in the platform's history.

The Creative Revolution was founded to act on Sir Ken’s vision. It is led by Kate Robinson, his daughter, and Anthony Dunn, his son-in-law.
